*Joining Ginny

I’ve decided to stop numbering my Yarn Along posts. It seemed logical to number them at first, but this morning I realized that it didn’t serve any purpose other than to satisfy my need to organize everything in my life into lists. So, I’m throwing caution to the wind, and no longer numbering my posts.

Pray for me.

Swift is coming along nicely. I had a hiccup on Sunday and ended up one stitch short on a row, only to discover my mistake had been made three rows back. Not a huge deal, except ripping out three rows of lace is way more time consuming than ripping out three rows of stockinette stitch. It set me back a day, but I managed to fix it last night and I’m back on track. It’s such a lovely pattern and the yarn is just to die for. It’s so soft and the color is the most beautiful blueish-purpleish-gray. (Nice adjective use, Sarah.) I would love to have an entire sweater knit out of this stuff. Scratch that: an entire wardrobe!

I’m back to reading Understanding Exposure. Gardening, canning and harvesting season is over and I find that I have more time on my hands than I did a month ago. Photography is something that I really would like to improve upon, so I’m going to make an effort to learn as much as I can during these winter months. This book was recommended by Ginny, and it’s been a great read so far. There are exercises in every chapter and my goal is to complete one exercise a week. Hopefully I (and you all) will start to see a difference in my photos over the next few months. You’ll have to let me know!
