Yesterday I posted that I would explain why I have been so tired lately, and slightly absent from the blogging world. I feel like that last photo offers up a pretty decent explanation. Last month we discovered that I am pregnant with our third child. The baby is due in May and we couldn’t be more thrilled. The morning sickness was pretty rough last week. I was taking prescription anti-nausea meds around the clock, and my poor family ate out more than I’d like to admit because there was no way I was going to cook. Just opening my fridge sent me running for the bathroom. I couldn’t even knit because counting stitches made my head spin. I’d never had morning sickness like that before. Over the last few days, the nausea has subsided, and I feel like I’m starting to regain a little of my old energy and while my clothes are already feeling a tad too snug, I feel great.
But enough about that. Look at my sweater! Isn’t it wonderful? I loved this pattern. Full disclosure: I would never use this yarn again. I loved the color, but it pilled too much for my taste and in some photos, like the close-ups of the buttons, you can see the yarn has already turned a bit fuzzy.
Speaking of the buttons, I am in love with them. Bees! They are from an Etsy store called Wooly Moss Roots. As soon as I saw them, I had to have them. The couple who made them have so many adorable carved items, and I highly recommend checking out their blog.
You might notice how I only have one button buttoned on this sweater. Normally I would show you what it looks like completely buttoned, but since I cast on, I have gained ten pounds, and there are certain parts of my (ahem) anatomy that have expanded since then, so it doesn’t look very good buttoned up.
